We are filling out, or should I say trying to fill out, our subsidy paperwork. We are just confused on what to put for some of the amounts for our monthly costs. Do we put what it costs us now, or do we include what we will be spending when we get the kids with us? Especially under grocery/household expenses and clothing. It is just my husband and me now so groceries are very little. We are getting 2 tween boys so I know it will go way up!! Not sure what to put under entertainment/recreation/social either. I have no clue if the boys will want to play sports or go to camp or whatever, and have no clue what these costs if they do. And for the question---Can you provide for this child's needs without receiving medical assistance or other adoption assistance benefits?----we can, but it would be real tight after the bills are paid. so should we say no on this?

I hope this helps.....You should put what you spend now with just the two of you. When negotiating for subsidy they really just need to see how much money is going out every month for the two of you. Did you get a sibling group?

Yes we were matched with 2 brothers. One is moderate loc and the other is basic. We ended up filling out what we could on the paperwork and then sending it to our adoption worker at our agency. She is going to help us determine what to put for future expenses. Just hoping she has time to work on it with us this week so we can get it sent back. Last week was spring break so most of our agency was on vacation, so they are playing catch-up this week. The boys cw wants to be able to tell them about us and can't until we get that paperwork sent in. I have no patience. I just want to get them home.
