To those that may be wondering. I know I have been stalking the general assembly site almost as much as I have been the IRS. This is the email I sent to senator Broden a few days ago as well as responses.. you need to start with the bottom and work up.. just thought I would pass it along. Maybe everyone already knew the except me??
DEAD pretty much sums it up.. I will pass this info on to other adoptive families that are on the dont hold your breath list in the state of Indiana. We were all very happy to know that someone was trying to do something about this issue.
When you are told you are eligible for a program that is mandatory you apply for , then finding that they are not funding it is somewhat a slap in the face. Why offer it ? Why make it mandatory? Why isnt it higher on the priority list for funding?
Thank you so much for the reply. I can at least stop stalking the general assembly website to see if it has gone to the next phase.

Ms. Parson's:
The current status of this bill is that it is "dead." The last day for senate bills to pass out of the Senate was February 19, and this bill did not pass out of committee. It could be possible that this language could be amended into another bill, but that is a pretty slim bet.
I might be able to explain this process better if you want to call me directly. My number is in my subject line.
Take care,

I have been attempting to follow the progress on SB0357. It seems tobe going no where. Is there any more information regarding the passageor a reading of this bill or when it might begin moving along in theprocesses??
