We are working on our taxes and gathering docs for the Adoption Tax Credit. Since we finalized last year, I always thought it strange that our decree didn't look very official. It's like a Word doc with the decree-type language and our signatures and then a stamp and the judge's signature. It isn't on state or county or court letterhead or anything and doesn't have any kind of seal. Wondering if this is going to be a problem for the IRS. If it's what NJ does for everyone, guess the IRS will accept it but just wondered what you NJ A-parents' decrees look like? FWIW we finalized in Camden.
Thanks!
