Hello, I'm new and I'm just over the moon excited, My DH and I are going thru the Fost-Adopt process, While I know it will be heartbreaking to be placed with a child and maybe the child be reunified with his or her parents that is a chance we are willing to take in order for us to get our forever child. I get my interview homestudy on Friday and My Husband is done with his, I only need to turn in our car inspection paper work and our doggies shot records and we are done, all in a month and a half time, we are done with all our PRIDE classes so we are pretty much set and just waiting for them to tell us to go buy a crib, while I sound sooo excited I realize that there will be heartbreaks and bumps big bumps along the road, I just can't stop thinking about that I'm might actually get to be a MOMMY ! :cheer:

Hello, I am so torn, I idolize my father, I was and still am daddy little girl, he is my world, however I did speak with him and told him that once we are placed he could visit but NOT have an ounce of alcohol... he did tell me that he won't and wil ldo anything it takes for me to complete my family, I also told him that if I see him drink in my house he will be asked to leave and he understood that, My father has been an alcoholic for as far as I could remember, so I know he is not going to stop anytime soon..I also told him that when we visit his house I will call and inform him of this so he will not drink and he agreed, I love , love , love my father but I will not jepordize my forever child because of his alcholism, I do belive him when he says he will repect my wishes. :( :( :grr:

We received a call for the placement of twins. The two precious 10 month old boys have been in our home for 5 days, they were an emergency placement, si we may not have them very long, maybe another week. It has been a joy caring for them and they will be missed when they go home. Hoping the next call will be longer.:flower:
Here, when they call depends on what kind of a foster home you are. We are straight foster and foster to adopt. They only call us for straight foster on workdays and during working hours. Foster to adopt calls are most likely on Tuesdays and Wednesdays because the match meetings are held here on Tuesdays. If we were a satellite home, then they would call any time day or night. What comes with the child depends on where they are coming from. What county are you in?Your best bet is to ask your worker. Best wishes.
