Has anyone used this on themselves or their AA kids? InStyler Rotating Hot Iron Hair Straightener I just bought one for myself but I tried it out on my son and it worked great. His hair was still straight the next day and it took about 5 minutes to straighten his entire head of hair. Mine (longer and thicker but less curly) takes about 10 minutes. It has literally cut my getting ready in the morning time by 75%! So totally totally worth the money if you don't like doing the surly hair battle!
Oh my goodness...I have got to get one. I have seen the infomercial and I have been afraid to spend the money, because nothing looks like it would be that easy. But if you have used it on long, think, curly hair and it works...then I need to get it!!!

I was thinking the same as Becky! It just looked too good to be true. BUT if I have a real life endorsement... I may have to pull the trigger on this!
So I looked at the website and I am shocked at the price. I don't need 2 of them!! I just want one, but it seems like you have to buy two.
I was at Target today and noticed a 'sign' for the Instyler (as seen on TV), for $99...but they were sold out.
Where did you guys buy yours???
I've been eyeing the Instyler but they still haven't convinced me it works on all hair types. I've been seeing mainly frizzy, loose curls or relaxed hair on all the models. Just take a look at the demo videos on their website. The demo they have for AA hair looks a little suspect. If you have more of a kinky grade of hair they don't provide the instructions on how to prepare the hair prior to using the instyler so you may not get the results you want.
I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond and used the 20% off coupon.
I would say DS has either 3c or 4a hair (its hard to tell on a boy with such short hair.) I used it on my DD who has straight blond very fragile hair that usually fries with a curling iron and it worked fine.
I am in love with the thing. After two work days where my time from shower to door went from an hour and half to 20 minutes, I would pay 3 times as much for this thing. But I get where you are all coming from, if I hadn't seen it in action 3B type hair, I wouldn't have even considered spending that kind of money!

It was $99 at Target today. I saw it on Amazon too...but now I am wondering if there are different models?
I am getting one this weekend one way or another. I am tired of spending 30 minutes straightening my hair every other day!
Its 99 at BBB and if you have the coupon, it will save you 20 bucks. THe lady who told me about it said she tried a knockoff version of it and it didn't work. Make sure you read the directions and watch the video. I get much better results today when I was actually following the directions!
I have my coupon and I am heading there tonight! I can't wait to give it a try. I would love nothing more than to put my flat iron away for good!!!
