FAC via Spence-Chapin

Hi Heather. We were dealing with FAC, but because KSS was worried about getting VISAs, FAC moved us over to Spence, so now we are in the process of starting the application with them. Although upsetting because we were what we thought a month away from our referral, I would rather move on then never get our child home through KSS. We just completed our home study on Saturday. Our SW told us we are in doing the splits between step 1 and step 4. All we can do is pray that we don't run into the same issue when we get far enough through this process. Laurie

Thanks for your reply, Laurie! Are you in Ohio or Michigan? We are literally just starting this process (we have a valid domestic homestudy but experienced a failed adoption recently so we're thinking about International). I am really worried about the whole process! I have heard that Korea is getting really stingy with their EP quotas and it's likely to only get worse. That's great that your HS is done! I hope it's a smooth ride from here on out.

FAC doesn't do Korea anymore. We were waiting to do the homestudy and got a letter saying that they couldn't help us.

May I suggest that you try EAC in Ohio. European Adoption Consultants. They do Russia and China(special needs). Korea is closing.
