Hello!!
My husband and I have committed to adopting a domestic infant! We are very excited to move forward very soon. We are now deciding between three different agencies, are attending all three orientations. However, I believe the best resource is word of mouth. So I thought I'd ask if anyone has had experiences or has opinions on Bethany, adoption associates or catholic social services in Michigan? Please share your opinions and experiences. Thank you so very much. I love these forums where we can all support each other! I've Ben on the fertility one for quite some time, but new to this one! :)
My kids were adopted internationally so I am no help on the domestic side, but I wanted to say Welcome from another Michigan mom!
You might also want to cross post this on the General Adoptive Parent Support forum. Like on Fertility, some forums get more traffic than others, and that is the big one here that gets the most traffic.

Dpline- thank you so much for your help!! I appreciate it! What agency did you go through for your international adoption?
They weren't in Michigan and are out of business so it wouldn't help, but I will PM you (all agency discussion must be via private message) and we can chat. :)
Hi There!
Not sure if you already selected your agency, but we are using Catholic Social Services in Washtenaw County. We are matched (this is our 2nd match in 6 months, the first one was disrupted---birthparents decided to parent when baby was born). So far, we really like CSS. What we love is that they do not force the emoms into adoption (they counsel them for whatever choice they want) and there are no birthmom fees to pay. In addition the counselors are life-long for you and birthmoms (for free!). The fees are very inexpensive, they are very honest.
