Yesterday I went down south to mom's and also filled up my gas tank. I paid $3.859 for a US Gallon and spent $43.50 US for 11.272 US gallons. I just did the conversion for the one price I noticed on my way down which was $1.41 per Litre. Including the Cdn to US dollar exchange (Cdn worth more than US) I saved $25.82 Cdn filling up in the US vs Canada and I am talking border town to border town so there is no excuse like transporting costs. I am just shaking my head as I have a small compact vehicle and cannot imagine the difference if I still had my SUV and was commuting to work. Anyone else tired of the games the oil companies are playing? Regardless of country there is no excuse when the price of oil is going down and prices are going up... D

Mom is in WA too but close to the border. I do feel better knowing you got dinner and drinks!!! I know both countries governments have called the oil guys on the carpet but not sure if Canada's call is just to say they did as they do like the gas tax revenues... D Edit: PS - Cath's what's the cost per litre in Australia?
Dpline, You and me both considering dh has a 4x4 he currently commutes in - considering taking it off the road when it is well over $5.00 per gallon where we live... I remember when I was REALLY young the gas prices (in WA) went up to $0.25 per gallon and mom was so worried how other families would be able to pay that price...($20 then was around $100 to $120 today)...
