I was born in Shreveport Louisiana on June 15, 1955.
My birthmother was 19 years old and single. She was 56Ҕ tall, had brown hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. She was of French/English heritage. She had 1 years of college. She was of the Catholic faith and in good health.
Her father had a high school education and some business college. Her mother had a high school education. She had two brothers, both younger and was still in school. All were in good health.
She chose not to give the name of the birthfather which she could do at that time. She stated he was 6ݒ1 tall, weighed 155 pounds, had brown hair and green eyes and a fair complexion. He was of the Methodist faith and was in the Air Force. He was also single. She stated he was very good at writing poetry, playing the guitar, singing and writing cartoons. She described him as athletic.
She entered the maternity home on March 1955. She had hoped to keep me, but wanted the birthfather to marry her and help provide for me. He did not feel that he could do that so she made adoption arrangements.
I was placed at St. AnnԒs Nursery and I was adopted on October 7, 1955. It was normal in those days for babies to remain in the nursery up to six months to make sure they were healthy and normal.
There was no medical information of any serious medical conditions.
Please contact me at nickgoeders@gmail.com if you know anything about my birthmother and family.
God Bless!

Hello. I am an adult adoptee who is planning to film a documentary about adoptees and their struggle to find members of their birth families. It will focus on the difficult search process, in terms of the material and psychological effects it has on the adoptee and their families.
In the production stage, we will be filming in Austin, Texas. We need your help, in a supportive way through getting the word out about what we are doing, writing letters to you state representatives and the white house, as well as your donations, both large and small.
If you would like to appear in the documentary, please send me a one-page synopsis of what has happened to you in your search and it must be so compelling that I could not turn you down.

Hope to hear from you soon.
