Born July 31, 1978 in NC. Looking for birthparents

i was born july 31, 1978 and was adopted through CHS in greensboro, nc. my mother is caucasian and my father is african-american. i have my non-identifying information, but not really sure what to do with it. if anyone has any information please let me know. i do know that my mother kept me for about 4 days before putting me up for adoption and then came back about a week later and requested and received photos. my birthmother's family worked in furniture factorys and my birthfather worked in a pallet factory somewhere in nc. if anyone has any information on maybe which areas some of these factories may are common or more prevelant, please let me know. at this point i have no idea where to start. please help.
