Has anyone heard of Adoption Access, Inc located in Dallas or have used them? When I was researching their website I found some thing interesting like if the match fails either through birthmother changing her mind or adoptive parents declining due to medical conditions unacceptable that the fee would be credited to the next match and that all medical expenses for the birthmother would be paid by the agency. Has anyone heard of such a thing before? Do you know of any in Houston or Hawaii that offer this?

Yes, many of the national agencies (which are more expensive to cover the expenses) do this. My agency (based out of Kansas) American Adoptions does this. PM me if you want more info.

So places that do this are considered more expensive? My biggest fear is forking up all this money and the birthmother backing out. I can't afford to keep doing this. I was hoping there was other options out there.

Thank you for your response. I'm still not sure if we are going to adopt here or in Hawaii, but I still would like to talk to someone. I know my biggest concern is getting matched with an expecting mother and she backing out at last minute and all that money is lost. Second on top of all the money we have to put upfront I was also curious to know how much for should I expect to pay for the mothers expenses? Does the agency include that in their total? How long did it take before you were matched? Did you do open/closed, etc?
