I am a female adoptee looking for my birth mother.
I was born in either Toronto, Ontario, or Mississauga, Ontario on October 20th, 1983.
I was born under the name "Girl Kiladze". My parents kept the name you apparently wished for me: Mona. In the report that I received from the Children's Aid Society, you described yourself as "moody" and that you enjoyed "stained-glass making, reading, dancing". You hoped to open a restaurant.
You described my father as Spanish, blue eyed, and a computer programmer.
I am 27 now, and have been looking for you in my heart for longer than that.
Whatever guilt you have, please... I am begging you to let it go and contact me. I'm the only 'Mona Kiladze' on the Canadian Adoption Registry; I'm the first thing you see when you enter that name into Google.
Please. My life is falling apart around me; I feel groundless and empty and afraid. My adopted mother died when I was 15, and my adopted father has a new family now.
I am asking for your help. Even if just to help me realize that I am, in fact, standing upon the ground.
Have you applied for your original birth certificate now that the law changed in Ontario?
Kind regards,
Dickons
