Hello....We (husband and I) are both CC, and seeking to adopt an AA infant. I have a couple books for adults, "I'm Chocolate, You're Vanilla" and "Inside Transracial Adoption." What I'm having a hard time finding are good quality children's books that address differences in race. We have CC nieces and nephews in the under 5 age range, who will be very involved in our child's life...and would like to use children's books as an opener to conversations with them. So far the couple books I ordered from Amazon were not so great. Also, if you have any suggestions for adult resources, that would be great too. Thanks much and wish us luck please.

I liked "Is There Really a Human Race" by Jamie Lee Curtis, I think. You also might want to browse tapestry books. Here is a link where I saw a couple of good children's books that explain adoption and racial difference. I agree with Jen...tapestrybooks is a great resource. For kids' books, DD always like A Mother for Choco and still likes The Colors of Us by Karen Katz (a mom who adopted from Guatamala). I really liked (for me) the book Does Anyone Else Look Like Me. It's written by a bio mom raising caucasian/asian kids, but I thought it had some really great "insights" for navigating the world as a mixed race family. Best of luck to you!

I would also look at the book source section at Welcome to Pact, An Adoption Alliance. Pact is the organization started by the authors of Inside Transracial Adoption and they have a book list broken down by age with reviews done by their staff. It's a good resource and you can buy the books through them as well if you want to.
