Dear Adoptive/Foster Moms,
Im appealing to you after hearing of a horrible tragedy that happened to a little 15 month old boy in Russia. He suffered severe burns and lost both legs after his alcoholic mother left him home alone next to a heater, which caught fire. The mother abandoned him at the hospital and the boy is in desperate need of help. Please see information below:
I would like to spread the word about a Fundraising Concert called "America's Golden Voices" that is being organized by one of the singers, Evgenia Zilberberg. This concert will take place on Sun, August 28 at 5 pm at Davidzon Radio, 2508 Coney Island Avenue, 2nd floor, Brooklyn NY 11223. The program features music by Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Shuman. Also, classical vocalists will perform arias and songs set to famous Russian poems by Lermontov, Pushkin, etc.
All the proceeds will benefit Maksim Abramov, a Russian orphan who suffered severe burns and as a result had his legs amputated. Maksim is not even 2 years old yet. The most horrible part is that this happened because of his mother who then abandoned him at the hospital and never visited him again. The child was left completely alone as he suffered unimaginable pain and endured numerous operations. However, doctors agree that there is hope for MaksimҒs future and they want to start working on his first prosthetic legs soon! Please, do not stay indifferent to the plight of this little, defenseless and helpless child who is completely alone in this world and is literally dependent on the kindness of strangers!
The organizers hope to collect money through ticket sales and donations that you can make at the concert. You can also donate directly to the American organization that has agreed to collect and oversee safe transfer of funds to Russia directly towards Maksim's medical needs. You can send a donation directly to the Brick Church, located at 62 East Ninety-second Street, New York, NY 10128. It is necessary to specify that the donation is for Maksim Abramovs medical needs.
To get tickets for the concert, please go to a teatralnaya kassa in Brooklyn, call 718-303-8888 or go to teatr.com // Ҁನ᲻ ׀겸 ໷ h륲 뷍Შ.
The organizers also hope to raise awareness about this tragedy in America to increase the chances of adoption for this little boy. Otherwise, a horrible future awaits him in a Russian orphanage and then in an invalid home, confined to a wheel chair for all of his life. There is no reason he should not have a chance at a normal life with prosthetic legs, as the doctors agree. Please pass on this info.
Thank you.
P.S.
1) If you have questions, you can contact the organizer, Evgenia Zilberberg at <ezberg@mail.ru> or at 917 392 5438.

I was very much touched by this information and would like to appeal to you and ask your advice as to how to disseminate this information to an adoption agency that would be willing to help this boy find a good adoptive family.
Thank you so much for your help
