Just wondering if any one has had this experience and what happened to your application.
Husband and I already have 4 children , and I just found out we're pregnant again. we weren't planning on it, and honestly I'm still a little shocked, but happy. We're working with WACAP and have had our homestudy.
Have there been exceptions to the 4 child restriction made for anyone?
I think I "know" 1 family that got the 4 child requirement waived because they adopted DC with special needs, specifically limb deformities. 1 DS is missing a leg, I can't remember the other. In all of our paperwork we were required to disclose of a pregnancy immediately and then we'd be taken off the list until the new child was 2 years old. Only then could we begin the adoption process again.
Did not happen to us, but it did happen twice to a family I know who were with a different agency. They struggled with infertility, got pregnant while waiting for a referral, were forced to stop the process. Waited until their child was 2, then started again. Got pregnant again. Forced to stop again.
