SOSOSOSOSOSo good. I recommend it to ALL new FP and Adoptive parents I meet and even the old pros. Its super practical, yet based in real thing that work with real kids.
A friend recommended this book to me. My husband and I are just starting the application process to adopt from foster care. I'm excited to start reading it!

We borrowed it from the library 3 or 4 times before finally buying it. (We don't buy book new very often, so that says a lot.)
Was very impressed with it. Reminded me of "How to Talk so Kids Will Listen, How to Listen So Kids will Talk", by Farber/Mazleish (sp??) What a fantastic book that is. Has cartoons, has ideas presented in short bursts, not tons of technical terminology.
