Hi Everyone,
I would appreciate information regarding agencies in Texas with a Chinese program. Please PM me. Many thanks, Ita
I will PM you with one agency. But please know that you should not choose any agency just b/c they are in the state you live in. Most business is done via email, phone, overnight fed-ex and very little needs to be done face to face. only the home study needs to be done by an agency in your state, but you can use a different agency to do your home study than you use for your adoption.
I will send you the PM of the agency I used for my home study and even though they do have a China program, we did not use them b/c they have more strict guidelines as an agency than China actually does and that is a turn off for me.

At this point, do NOT attempt to do a non-special needs adoption from China. The wait is likely to be five years or more -- if China even keeps the program open.
If you are open to special needs, you might want to find a child on the "shared list" that many agencies see, and then choose an agency to represent you. You might also want to sign up with an agency that receives individual lists of children to place. Alternatively, you could send your request to China in the same way you would have sent a NSN request, but indicating that you are looking, for example, for a visually impaired child 3-4 years old, and let China choose the child for you.
