Hmm...
Please read the thread http://forums.adoption.com/special-needs-adoption/395014-11-year-olds-pregnancy-scares.html
I'm having a hard time believing that a teacher was convinced he was a relative simply by a young man's say so. Let's say she was that naive, are you seriously telling me she allowed the dd to leave her class without checking with mom first? I don't know, in this day and age of lawsuits and all the forms we fill out saying "only so & so has permission to pick up my child" or having to send a written note for a specific pick up, it seems off. Not impossible but not probable either.
Add to this that I'm sure she knows the child's mental capacity which mom would have already shared because that's what parents of special needs kids do...inform, inform and inform some more.
In post #5 she says she knows the boy involved. So if she knew the boy or of him, how is it that she "discovered" he's actually 17 and not 13 now?
How does a confession just appear a day after talking about this? And a confession of a crime to boot. Not an agreement from the boy that yes they had sex, but actual "confession"? And gee, not just an average boy either, but a convicted sex offender?
SO...thoughts? Am I just being my usual suspicious self?

I can buy 11 year olds having sex. I can even "mostly" buy her list of special needs kids despite having so many. If you are in the foster system and the sw's know you are willing to foster/adopt kids with needs, they'll allow a lot more leeway on number of kids etc. so that didn't really phase me.
But this...I just don't buy.
Trying to see what response I could post...

I'm eagerly awaiting today's update. I can't even imagine what revelations we'll get.
I agree (although Crick I remember when I was teaching we had a 13 yr old boy boasting about getting another teen pregnant. That family was incredibly full of drama.)

That is the part that bothers me the most. The rest, maybe, possibly, but I just find the confession part doens't make any sense to me.
But I have a tendency to be suspcious as well. ;)
How convenient that his dx are almost the same as hers.
Yeah, the whole confession thing doesn't sit well either. Something very fishy is going on here.
Me thinks me smells a rat.
I banned after reading her latest "revelation".
A 17 year old convincing a teacher is hard enough, but add all those diagnosises and not only is he savvy enough to do all that but also drive? ODD, sure, but with an MR diagnosis AND FASD?
And all the rest? Yah, whatevah.
I wonder if it's Sara/Blessedbysnugg who I banned awhile back. She came back as someone else too, forgetting the name at the moment & when I banned her, she emailed "admin" and I knew then it was her because of how she worded things and used certain phrases. So it'll be interesting to see if I get another email from "JClair".
