Our 8yo son has a widows peak. I never thought much of it until last year when he asked me "why do I have a bump in my hair and can you get rid of it". I shaved if off a few times but didn't like the way it looked ( he had a major tan line), so let it grow back. Early this summer he wanted it GONE again, so I started keeping it plucked/shaved (no tan line this time). He is very happy with the way it looks, but all the shaving/ plucking sometimes irritates his skin and cause it to be scaly, I put lotion on it but then he breaks out in pimples. I thought about letting it grow back (sometime when he as several days off school) but I admit I like the way it looks when it is gone and most important so does T. Any suggestions on how to remove it, or at least keep his skin from getting yucky? Here is a picture of him with the widows peak and one without.

We let the barber shape it up when DS gets a haircut. It usually lasts until the next hair cut. I don't know anyone who plucks or shaves a widows peak.

Oh, he's a little cutie! If he hates it, he hates it... But I wanted to share a pic of Terrence Howard. He's embraced his widow's peak and it actually makes him look really distinctive. Like I said, if he hates it... get rid of it, just wanted to show him someone else who has the same "issue". The brand that hubby uses is called "EDGE". It's in a black can with white lettering. The cap on the can is a purple cap. You van go to Edge Shave Gel to see if it is carried at a local retailer near you.

Exactly what do you mean by shape it up? I'm open to any suggestion on how to make it look better, not that it look bad but like I said before T doesn't like it. We don't have any AA barber shops in our area so it needs to be something I can do myself.

Dh and I have peaks, so our boys do as well. When we do a close cut, my little guy has the post cut tan line too, but I do not make a big deal about it, time outside evens the skin up. I would trim it down as your 1st picture, not pluck it ouch! Also some men line up as much of the peak in with the rest of the hairline, then its not as conspicuous.
