I have never posted anything in my life. I am an LDA (late discovery adoptee) and needless to say, I have had quite a journey thus far. I can go from one spectrum all the way to the other. One of the many struggles -is men and I recently started dating someone who is also an adoptee. Like any new relationship, it's always butterflies and whimsical we didn't see anything but positive for our future because we spoke the same language. We "Get It"... but then there is also our dark side and demons that haunt us. That said, we live together and now have a child on the way which we call our LOVE CHILD. We met on a summer-like, free-spirited vibe however we have hit a point where we are both ready to run. We both fear that we can't love our future child, we fear that we are going to end before we even get started. While I thought this was going to be the best relationship ever now has turned into my most challenging yet. We see our future together, but getting there is our struggle and the uncertainty of the "unknown" is tapping into our psyche. Does anyone have experience with this ...we are both Scorpio's and just turning 40 this year.

I can't speak to your relationship, but I can assure you that you will love your child! I'm sorry that you had to find out the truth later in life, that shouldn't happen. Try to remember that no matter how it made you feel, the problems of adoption and secrecy were actually other people's problems, for which you are not responsible. You suffer the results, but other people's insecurities and mistakes are NOT yours.
