In your experiences, how fast can and ICPC be done. What is the shortest and longest times you have seen?
We already have our home study and the little boy involved is legally free for adoption.
I just realized I didn't post this in the place I thought so will xpost.

We were told that it TOTALLY depends on the sending state AND the recipient state... and of course how "on the ball" the SW's are. We chose to use a private agency on our behalf b/c our state has yet to return ANY of our calls and emails after we attended their recruitment session. :( IMO that did nothing to prove that they would be on top of paperwork, so we decided against using them. Good luck!

We are in Arkansas and adopted last year from Florida. They told us the same thing about timelines...4-6 weeks. I called AR and FL ICPC every day, sometimes several times a day. Once the agency ACTUALLY submitted the paperwork to the ICPC, it took 1 day.
We met our daughter on Dec 10th for the first time, and she came home on Jan 27th. But that was not without major persistence on our part. I literally kept their phones and email inboxes full. If something wasn't done in a timely manner, I found out who their superior was, and called and emailed them. It's sad, but with all the cases they deal with, it's the only way to expedite the process.
