Hi,
My husband and I are just starting to look into adopting from Colombia and trying to figure out which agency to go with.
Also, I spoke with one agency (EAC), they said I could go through ICBF OR they had an orphanage separate from that - more expensive program, faster placement - thoughts?
Anyway, I am sure this all has to be done via PM, so if you have suggestions, let me know :)
Thanks all!

I have been very happy with our agency and will PM you their name. Here is why I like them:
I have my own account on their website where I can review what I owe, what training I have completed and what still needs to be done and all past webinars.
Webinars. There is a monthly webinar where you call in from your phone and log into a website from your computer where you can view and participate in a monthly conference. They give updates (non-case specific) on Colombia and the program. You also have an opportunity to ask questions.
My caseworker stays in touch with phone calls & e-mails. Always available to answer my many questions.
They do both ICBF and Casas. I think it is Colombia who decided which you are placed with, not the agency. Casas are much faster & more expensive. You typically will be in country longer when using a Casa.
My agency also works with a company that will help you with your dossier, for a fee.
They have a long history working with Colombia adoption
Any issues I have with our process is just the unexpectedly looooong wait. I was originally expecting a 12-18 month wait. It has been 3 years and 8 months!!! If you are adopting a baby, your ICBF wait will be close to 4 years. Casas will be shorter.
