We are ready to move forward with adoption. We're located in the Chicago suburbs of IL. I have spoken to several agencies and done a lot of research and I still feel like I am not quite sure that I have all the information to make a decision on which path to take.
We would like to adopt a child two or younger. I have looked into foster to adopt and have been told again and again by agency case workers that I should just focus on using a domestic agency that places infants and go that route. We are open to either, I just don't want to eliminate the option if it is viable.
The other route is the agencies... LCFS, Angel Adoption, The Cradle, Sunny Ridge, LSSI, Adoption Center for Family Building. I would appreciate any feedback on experiences, cost... anything that might help us make a decision so we can proceed.
