DPS System Down?

We just finished our homestudy but were told that the DPS records system is down and expected to be down for a minimum of 60 days! So our homestudy cannot be completed until or whenever DPS gets their system up and running again to do driver record checks. Anyone else been told this? They said it's been down since the end of Oct. I can't tell you how cruddy this is considering that it affects both foster and adopt areas of DHS. And I'm not even thinking of parents/families -- I'm thinking of the extra wait for kids.
