So I am just getting started with my search. So far I have registered with ISSR along with the Florida Adoption Reunion Registry(FARR). I also sent in a request and payment to Catholic Charities to see if they even have my file. I find it strange that I have to pay $35 just to see if they have it. After that, it will be $50 to send me the Non-identifying information. I have some Non-id already, but am hoping there is something new in there, or at least updated medical information. Who knows, there may even be consent to contact. Catholic Charities will also initiate a search for $75 and do two hours worth of work. Hopefully that will be all that is needed.
I would love to meet my birth mother and see where I come from. At the least, I want medical history, a right that many take for granted.
Now it will be the waiting game. Wish me luck!
Heard back from the Florida Reunion Registry and no one is searching so far. Still waiting to hear from Catholic Charities if they even have my records as I was told they may have been destroyed in the 80's

I should be getting additional non-identifying information from Catholic Charities sent sometime over the next week. Hopefully there is more in there than what I currently have. Catholic Charities will also attempt to start a search on my behalf to find my birth mother. I was told that I was indeed born on the way to a hospital in a car!
Wish me luck on this journey
finally received my non-id info in the mail, but it didn't have anything new. I was told by Catholic Charities they have a possible address for my birth mother and have sent a letter of inquiry. Now just sit and wait, hoping for the best.
Such a feeling of being powerless.
I used ALMA at The ALMA Society They helped me find my relative. I highly recommend them.

Try to request a copy of your birth certificate. I am an adoptive mother and requested a birth certificate from an online agency like birthcerificates.com or something like that. They actually released the original information to me even though they weren't supposed to. Accidents like that do happen. Is the problem that you don't have her real name?
If you have her real name you can use People Search or something like that. I really hope you find her. I have no doubt that she would love to hear from you. Please keep in touch if you need a birth mother's perspective.
the problem is the law in florida on closed/sealed adoptions. The original birth certificate is sealed away and it takes a court order to get it(which is rarely granted). The catholic charities have my birth mothers name, but they won't/can't release anything without consent from her.
I am keeping the faith that it will all work out. Patience will be key on my end
