So, anyone know what the big announcement is tommorrow regarding Adoption in Indiana ? The state is supposed to announce a new adoption plan that both saves the state money and makes adoption more affordable. Could they finally be planning on funding the subsidy account? What do you think ? Channel 6 news is supposed to air the announcement on the 11pm news tomorrow night(Thursday). I have it dvr'd as I will be attending the first run showing of Twilight-Breaking Dawn tomorrow night ! Woo hoo !!!

I would think if there was something like that in the works it would be officially announced by James Payen.. or some other higher up than the newscasters???i
So...big surprise...there was no "announcement" about making changes. It was just a story about how the state subsidy was so needed for adoptive families and that there are only 2 states in the country who don't offer it, and of course, we are one of them. Hello....we already know this!!! Now we just need someone to do something about it !!!
Intersting.. after that last story she wrote ( and I only knew of it from someone posting about it here. I am not in Indy either and dont see or read their news unless I search for it) I emailed her saying that I would like to see someone do a story on this subject. I sent quotes from Sen. Broden with the email, and gave her info regarding the waitlist and that I was on that waitlist. NOW, Im in no way saying that email made this happen. she may have already been on that track. BUT.. I would have liked to see how he would answer a few blunt questions about the 104 million he didnt feel they needed being returned to the general fund when they are not funding the subsidies!! oh. I get so riled with this subject. I need to stop or I risk repeating myself again. and it is all stuff we all have already thought of anyway.
