Our most recent failed match was for a two year old little girl. We always said we were open to any child under age 4 (we want to keep birth order). How do you find these situations though?
We are in Wisconsin so we cannot utilize a facilitator- I see Lifetime frequently has posts about slightly older kiddos. Most foster placements are for ages 6 and up unless you consider significant medical needs, and we don't feel we are right for that situation.
Does anyone have advice on agencies or ways for us to be considered in situations for the slightly older child? Thank you for any advice you can offer...
Hi!
We too are looking for a toddler/preschool aged child. So far we have found that in our county the foster to adopt program fits us best. We have also put our feelers locally and have one lead. Best of luck to you!
