I'm hoping to get some advice from others, I just don't know what to do. I wrote a letter to my bson in late May, and I haven't heard anything back yet. I've never been in contact with him directly before. Common sense is telling me that he probably is not ready for contact, however, it's hard to know.
My father was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness and it's probably prompting me to try again (I guess it's something along the lines of "life is short").
I don't want him to think I'm harrassing him though...should I assume that his lack of an answer is my answer? FWIW, he's 23.
I'm so confused - I know I really want contact and I don't want my feelings to cloud my judgement.
Thanks for any help.

I know this must be really tough for you and you have my sympathies. I wonder if you just waited for Xmas Card time and sent a nice card and told him you were thinking of him. That way it won't feel/seem like your harrassing him but he still knows that your thinking of him. 23 is a very selfish period in a youngs man life and he is probably trying to spread his wings from his parents - so gaining a new one is quite a challenge.
Good luck
