Hi all,
I'm posting because I'd like to share my blog which describes my foster care experience. My mum was diagnosed with and slowly ended up dying from terminal cancer which is why I was taken away, and the blog describes the abuse, neglect & lack of support I experienced while there. I also have a page on there which has some journal entries I wrote at the actual time it was happening. I just wanted to share my experiences, because I find that the accounts of foster care on the internet are quite one-sided.

I'm sorry to her about your experience. My mother also died which from terminal cancer which also sort of led me to being placed into foster care. It's horrible that you were abused by those who to protect you. I also started a blog to help current and former fosters. I also found it to give good insight to foster and adoptive parents.
You can check it out at ImAFoster.com. Feel free to share your story if you would like...

So sorry formerfoster to hear about your experiences, I've looked at your site though and I'm really glad to see you're doing so well now. You should be proud of that and I can relate to you with the PTSD thing... it is tough.
Howdy - yeah, it was quite tough for me not to be given any time off. The other thing that I found really terrible was not being given the time by my carers to pick up my family photo albums, so now it's hard for me to recall the good memories I had before foster care without them. It's a real shame. Thanks for your message. :)
