I too am an adoptee, Currently looking for my birth parents/ family.... More for medical reasons than anything...... I Have several medical issues that one that almost killed me 4 years ago.... i wasn't really too worried until that happened out of the blue and we had to send 12 vials of blood out to be tested and then learned it was genetic..... My adopted Father died the month before i got sick (that was a nightmare it was so sudden......)The issues i have are Epilepsy, lupus antigens, pulmonary embolism, hyperhomosystienemia (rare blood disorder lucky me right? tachycardia and a genetic defect called C677T mutation..... all of this came at me out of the blue..... and I had the blood clot in one lung and pneumonia in the other and that almost killed me they gave me a 30% chance of survival I beat that here I amI found out that my Birth mother was 17 and my birth father or whatever ya wanna call him was 28, was born on DEC 25th 11:31pm 1967 at Galesburg Cottage hospital In Galesburg Illinois where i now live......My adopted parents never got an adoption decree and they got my birth certificate 5 years after they adopted me(after the lawyer had died and that was found in his records, My adopted parents kept asking and asking for it but didn't get it until after he died) and its modified its over the original it's taped I have also heard rumors that that lawyer and the doctor that delivered me were somehow involved in (not sure if its true or not) and used to do under the table adoptions and abortions..... I was Born in galesburg, ILL and adopted in Monmouth, ILL..... had the DCFS search their records and they cannot find any records of me, Strange huh maybe somebody out there has some ideas My adopted mom and I are going in front of a judge this month to find out what I can do as far as getting information or whatever....... its developing to be quite a story already........
