It is believed that my mom's OBGYN & his wife adopted the baby boy. I'm hoping I have the above info right. If there is a man born that day or even that month at children's hospital in Oakland, please PM me. You have two sisters and a nephew! Thank you.

You may want to check out the California Birth Index for leads. You can access it for a month for a fee for less than $27.00. Saying this, I did a look up for you and saw two males born with no first names. This is indicative of a child being giving up for adoption. Both were born on the date you indicated in Alameda County. I looked up all of Alameda County because Oakland is in that county.
One was born with the mother's maiden name being Appling and the baby's father's name being Rees. The other baby had the mother's maiden name as Mayes and the father's last name being Webb.
Both children are listed in the index twice. Once under the mother's maiden name and the other father's last name. Double listings like this are usually indicative of an illigitimate birth.
There is a possibility that the child could have had a first name and listed under the mother's last name and the father's last name. However, I encourage you to search to see if that happened.
Right now, I would go with these two names.
