This question is for all birth parents who used CHS in Florida to facilitate their child's adoption. A little background... I am in the process of reuniting with my birth parent and we are communicating through CHS. My question is this... if you have been reunited/or in the reunion process with your child and have used CHS to communicate (in the beginning stages of the reunion) did CHS tell you what to write and what not to write in the letters you send?

I am an adoptee and I was reunited with my birth parent through CHS in FL. I had many reservations in doing so but in the end I am so glad I did it. I have to be honest I had my good days and bad days dealing with CHS but with the support of a great friend I managed to get through it. Unfortunately there are no guarantees and yes it is a lot of money for what should be ours to begin with. I was never told what to write in my letters and after you both are comfortable with exchanging information CHS will back out and you are free to move on without CHS involved. It took some time but my birth parent and I have been reunited for about seven months. It is a roller coaster of emotions but WHAT A RIDE!
