So since L's hair is starting to grow out more and it's nice and curly, I thought it was time to start doing fun things with her hair. Started reading some hair blogs and going on the internet to learn how to braid. Still new (2 weeks in) but am on a mission to learn different hairstyles and just make sure my girly girl loves her hair.
I'm curious....anyone have good resources or places where you glean information for your kiddos hair that you wouldn't mind sharing with us?
This was my first official try to do something different with her hair.
I've always loved doing hair. When I was little I braided all my dolls' hair & I went to beauty school thinking I wanted to be a hairstylist. The only thing I was really good at there was braiding. I remember one day a little black girl who was adopted & had white parents came in & I got to braid her hair, that was fun! I've also read a lot of books about black hair care. My favorite hair blogs are Chocolate Hair, Vanilla Care & Braids, Beads, & Beyond. I also love to look at all the hairstyles I see on little black girls at the mall. I wish my daughter's hair would grow faster so I could try more of the styles on her!

Everything I know about skin care and haircare I learned here and at Chocolate Hair/Vanilla Care. I keep W's hair shaved down to about 3mm but I still like his hair, scalp and skin to look nice.
thanks for the blog titles....added them to my blog roll. They were also on the blogroll of one of the blogs I like to read. Love Your Girls Biracial Curls is where I started and read some of her other blogs she links too.
