First Placement Call.. Will We Ever Get One?

Ring you darn phone.. Ring!!! 17 days into licensing and still no placement call. The waiting is becoming a bit nerve racking. Room is ready and waiting for an occupant. I've been trying to do things to keep my mind off this but it's not working very well. Hopefully we get our first call very soon.

I can't imagine how difficult it would be to finally get the license and remain empty for who knows how long. I hope it's for a positive reason, like they don't have new children who need it. If it were only that simple, eh?!

Our county is very slow, we got our first placement a few weeks after we were licensed, when they left we waited 2 months for our 2nd placement. When they left we waited 15 MONTHS for our 3rd placement & we have been open for over 2 months since they left. The county north of us is always busy, our Judge has a lot to do with children not being in care. He's a complete jerk & doesn't put the kids' needs first & sends them home or to a relative when they shouldn't go to either.

We haven't had any calls either.. I thought waiting for the license was worse.. But I was wrong. Ring phone.. lol :phone:

Me EITHER!!!! this is NUTS!!!!! We waited 6 months for our first placement and they stayed a whole year, they left Jan.2nd 2012 and since then we have had ONLY 1 placement for a week! Thats it!!!!!!! Back to waiting.......

I started off not wanting kids under the age of like 2.....so I called the office like 2 weeks ago and told them I would take infant up......and still NOTHING. I stay at home to do this. My kids are all in school and I wanted to mother a child who needs it, they can have ALL me ALL day.......but no calls :grr:
