Adoption loans

Hi there, My husband & I had to take out an adoption loan too. We went through our local bank and established a line of credit. This will allow us to pull the money as needed from the line whenever we are successfully matched with an e-mom. After we have a successful placement & the adoption is finalized, we plan to borrow the money from my 401k and payoff the line of credit. The 401k loan is the cheapest source of funds we found and the best part is we pay the interest back to ourselves. I hate having to borrow money for an adoption, knowing we'll have to pay that back plus have the regualar expenses of raising a child. Unfortunately that is the only option for us without selling assets; & we didn't want to do that either. I think there are many other avenues for adoption loans. Hopefully someone else can provide you with a few more ideas.
