The rule is that a child has to have their own room after a year old. We just spoke with our caseworker about this a couple of days ago. According to the state a child over one has to have their own bedroom separate from the child.

Do you mean seperate from the parent? Kids can share rooms.
They will let the infant stay in parent room until 1 year old BUT they still have to have a space in another room.
Example: I am licensed for four based on 2 in each room. I can keep an infant under 1 year in our room BUt they count as one of the four. I can't have an infant in our room even under one and four in the other bedrooms for five total according to my license. AND my license worker made sure that an empty crib was set up in another room while infant was in bassinet in our bedroom.
