FD has been with us for 7 months. Mom has not done one thing the court told her to, she has not had visits 9and the ones she did have, she missed).
Yesterday was her court date and the judge ordered her to rehab. Then wants DYFS to take her to everything she has to do...classes, etc.
Has anyone had this happen?

Isn't NJ GRAND? This hasn't happened to me-BUT I will say forcing her to go to rehab-IS NOT going to work-she will check herself out in less than a week I would guess. The only successful people in rehab are those who CHOOSE on their own to be there. Making DYFS do all the leg work-actually works in your favor-this way if the case ends up TPR-Bio mom doesn't have a leg to stand on-they (DYFS) will be able to show all they have attempted to do for her to help her be successful & RU-yet she still was unable to comply. Is this bio-moms first child & removal? In my experience those who know the system "milk" it for all its worth.. GL-keep me posted.
