Its been a while, so I thought I'd post again, in the hopes that "Pam" has registered since my last post.
I have an Aunt (my mothers, sister) who was given up at birth. Her birth mothers name was Lucille E. Poth and she was sent to live at a "Catholic Charities" home in Rochester, NY. She gave birth to a baby girl, that she named Pamela (probably changed by adopted family) in 1953. My grandmother is white, blond hair, fair skin, big blue eyes, Irish/German decent. The father may or may not of been of mixed race. At the time of birth, the baby girl was of fair complexion, as most babies are. So hard to say, what physical characteristics (eyes, hair, skin tone) she may or may not be today.
My mother spent many years trying to find you. It was my grandmothers dying to wish, to find you and tell you how much she wanted to keep you. Her parents were strict & religious. She was unwed & in college, it was not her choice to give you away. She wanted the best for you, and eventually agreed that giving you to a loving, nurturing family, with a mother & a father, was the best way to give you the home she couldn't provide for you, at that time.
We would love to have you meet our family, to share stories with you about our Grandmother. My mom would love to have a sister around for bbq's, lunches, conversations. My mom has one sister with one son, she is a singer, she loves music, and her family. She has 5 grandchildren from her 3 children, I being the oldest. I get my stubborn determination from my mother & probably from my grandmother as well. I come from a long line of strong minded women, and when we put our mind to something, we see it through. So this 'project' causes great frustration, as I'm unable to find you. But, I will keep trying!
