Bil, you can get your original birth certificate at the registry of vital statistics which I believe is in dorchester. This will at least have your birth mother's info. Also, if you haven't already done this, you can contact wendy van der hook (I think that's her name) at catholic charities to get your non identifying info and to see if birth family members have put in a consent to be contacted (though of course you don't need the consent if you have the info from the birth cert., but you may want the info anyway). I believe she is at the cath charities office in south boston....good luck!!

Thank-you so much..did just that..45 yrs and I have my mothers name and where she lived..think she fibbed a little on her first name..but other info is on its way..Wendy was very nice..see where this leads me..
