Hello,
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin, completing my senior honors thesis examining Chinese adoptees and what/if any of the cultural activities theyre involved in has any effect on their psychological well-bring. This is a professor sponsored project and has received the approval of the Institutional Review Board. I am currently looking for families with Chinese adoptees in the 12 to 15 year old range.
I only recently found out about this adoption forum, and would appreciate you and your childҒs help in assisting me with my project. It is all hosted on-line, and requires around 10 minutes on the part of the parents, and anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes from your child depending on how quickly they are able to complete the survey. As a student at UT, Ive been very involved in volunteering with our local Families with Children from China (FCC) chapter, as well as being involved in a student organization called UT China Care which has mentorship programs for Chinese adoptees in the Austin area. For the past three years, IҒve become more and more interested on the topic of international adoption , which is why I chose to complete my thesis over this topic.
