Okay, we just (like 5 minutes ago) found out that our children are going to be eligible for Title IV adoption subsidy....So does anyone know what type of supporting documents we will need to present? We totally weren't expecting this, but also know from experience how expensive raising a child is and know that any assistance we get postadoption will help tremendously!
So far I have their textbook fees for school, before and after school care (I'm a teacher so we won't need childcare during school breaks), what else do we need? Should we include reciepts for items we purchased for the children over the past 6 months, such as clothes and toys? Anything else????
Any input would be greatly appreciated! We finalize on Thursday so we have very little time to pull this all together!

Our lawyer had us fill out a paper describing what services the children currently require. We also put services, like educational, therapy, etc. that we believe they have a good chance of needing in the future. We also included any know medical background for the children and their bio families.DCS offered us one amount and then our lawyer countered with another and we settled in the middle. There wasn't really much discussion. I think maybe they start out offering the lower amount so that people will be happy with their next offer. We were. We're just happy that they qualified. There's no way we could have adopted a sibling group of 3 without it.

Are your children special needs, physically? Or do they qualify because they're a sibling group and theoretically hard to place? For our little boy, he was under 2 and had to have well-documented special needs to qualify. He was born with club feet, so we had letters from the doctors, surgeons, therapists, etc. along with costs associated with his condition that medicaid won't pay for.
