Our daughter failed the sixth grade but the school is passing her to the seventh grade. There was no summer school options in our area or that we could afford. She has had privileges taken away for failing grades. All we ask for is C's. Her privileges that got taken away are: TV, telephone, computer games, video games, and movies. So we gave her worksheets (5th grade stuff) to do during the summer, three a day so she could get her privileges back, but it's become a control battle. She refuses to give it any effort. She's defiant and argumentative. She has RAD and I believe this is a RAD issue. What do we do? I worry that she will continue to struggle in the seventh grade if we can't get her caught up. We've tried everything!!! This was our last resort. Thanks for your feedback!
