My husband and I are in the process of fostering to adopt through a private agency in Riverside County. We have done the Live Scan, and just completed our initial home inspection. We start PRIDE next month. My question is.....does the agency/county pay for day care? I know we get a stipend for fostering, but does that include day care costs or is there a separate fund for that? Just trying to budget and prepare ahead of time. Thank you everyone for your help!!!

I am not in riverside county, but up in Nor Cal. Day care is paid seprately from the monthly stipen, but my understanding is it's from the county. So with that said I believe it depends on the county. I was recently told with the proposed budget cuts and such that new FP's in our area were not receiving any day care funds and ours would be cut off 6/30, but it turned out they were able to work something out and keep funding going, I'm not sure if new FP's will now get it or not.
