Has anyone recently completed the adoption process in Poland that could tell me how long it took after the court decree was issued to get your child's Polish Passport, med exam and US visa?
After we arrived we were given a CD of our son's ct scan (we'd been asking for it for a while). We emailed it to our surgeon (son has many craniofacial issues we already knew about) and surgeon responded a few days later that our son may have intracranial pressure that should be treated ASAP.
We left a two week window after the court decree was to issue (shortened appeal period to 2 weeks) but we don't want to keep him here any longer than we have to. Our surgeon will have a consultation apt waiting for us as soon as we get home. And our in-country agency rep is so awesome (and only works for our agency and an agency in another country) and has said it usually only takes her a week to get all of the final passport, etc. done but she can't guarantee it as she can only do what the government bodies allow.
So any input would be appreciated. Depending on what experienced families can tell me, we may just roll the dice and change the flights. We are just starting the 2nd week of our appeal period which puts us 2 weeks out from when we want to leave.
Thanks!

We did the passport the first day we arrived on our second trip, after a 2-week wait. You'll need to apply for the passport, go for a physical, process the immigration papers. The process for the passport itself was about 3-4 days. Then we had to do the US stuff, which took a full business day. You can't do the passport until the waiting period is finished, though. You can, however, go get photos, etc. and I think you can also apply but it's a provisional application until you have the final decree.
