wondering if you folks have heard of the controversy over the Ranch for Kids in Montana. it takes in troubled adopted children whose behavioral problems overwhelm their new American parents. many of them are russian
Basically, the ranch has been widely praised in the American media. but the russian government calls it an abusive "penal colony" and a "trash can for unwanted children."
what are your thoughts on the issue? has anyone actually dealt with the ranch? or even sent a child there?

People (on both sides) need to realize that "love isn't enough". I also think that people need to realize that "normal" parenting doesn't work for everyone. Montana Regulators could be kowtowing. There's no way to know.
Millie - a year before Russia said anything Montana ordered the ranch to cease and desist so Montana has been involved for well over a year if it came to a head then.
