So since neither of the kids we have came with anything, we are expecting to get our clothing vouchers tomorrow (according to the FCM).
She recommended going to Burlington but from the last time I was there, I don't remember them having a great selection. Anyone know of anyone else that accepts these? Is there anything else I should know?
I think Kohl's takes the vouchers. You might want to call and double check first. They probably have their summer clearance right now too. You can get some great deals during clearance.

I tried last year, big NO.
Kmart on West Washington Street in Indy is the only place other than Burlington that I found. And you are right about burlington, unless you want him in butt hanging heavily embroidered jeans with sean john shirts and the like, not much there. Even in those items, toddler sizes were almost non existent. Kmart on West Washignton has a good selection and know how to use them, stop at the desk first and ask which cashier is up on them, CS usually has to come out anyway.
How much on a clothing voucher?
So i know because we are going to be fostering.
thanks i am in marion county.
I just called Sarah at Kohls on Southport Rd in Indianapolis. They said they do take the vouchers as long as the names match and you have ID. Good Luck !

I just received clothing vouchers for our 2 foster daughters and the caseworker told us to use them at Kohl's. The girls got alot of clothes for the amount that was approved on the vouchers and the vouchers are tax free. You have to take the vouchers to customer service after you have done your shopping. We had no problems using the vouchers and customer service was very kind.
I've gone to Kohls and Burlington. The only Burlington I had success with was Washington Square, which was a drive for me but well worth the selection.
Sometimes the FCM will specify the store on the voucher, so read it over carefully before you go.
And Kohls was good too. But selection was picked through.
Also you have to check out at customer service at both stores.
So I called Kohl's too and they said they would accept them. But when I received the vouchers, they were already made out to Burlington. So I went to the one on Lafayette. I didn't do as bad as I thought and got quite a bit of stuff but still wasn't able to spend the entire amount just due to lack of good clothes to choose from. Oh well! At least they have clothes now to take home with them.
They each got $200 by the way. Very hard to spend $200 on a 3 month old too!
Do they mail these to you? Do we pick them up at the DCS office? I know we are supposed to be getting one for our little lady with us, but have no idea what the process is? Thanks in advance!

There's no standard protocol. Sometimes the FCM will bring it when they come out to see the child in the first week or so. Otherwise they'll ask if you want them to mail it or you pick up.
