I feel God is calling us to adopt a baby girl but my husband is hesitant because he's not sure he would feel like her daddy. We have 2 bio sons and I guess gmhe's afraid he won't feel the same towards her as he does towards them. We'll be talking about it again in the next few days since we won't proceed with it unless he's 100% sure. Please pray that if it is God's will that he would soften my husband's heart and unite us in this but if it isn't His will that my heart and desires would be changed. Thank you and God bless!
Give your husband time to adjust and with prayer his heart will melt once she is in his arms. I am a stepmother to adult children (boys) and my husband was skeptical about starting over as he called it, but I wanted to have children (1st marriage for me) Gods plan for me has been working with children (Preschool Teacher) and we had this opportunity to become a placement home and with prayer it came through last Aug. 30 2011; Two lovely and beautiful girls came to live with us and was told down the road that we could become their permanant placement than possible adoption. His heart grew bigger for these precious gifts from God and how they responded to him as a Prince. Our girls lived in God's home and we became a vessel for Him in their hearts. Be patient and continue to pray for God's healing and hand in this decision. "Girls are precious" my husband says daily... Our girls now live with grandparents that came forward last month so now we have beautiful memories and it still hurts our hearts to know that our girls are not here with us to continue learning about God, learning about how girls are treated and respected by my husband and to be girly or not by my hand with God's blessings. My prayers are with you and your family. Be kind and gentle

I will definitely be praying for you. I know that my wife was reluctant to adopt for years. There were many reasons and I realized it was best not to try and push her into pursuing adoption. I knew I felt God wanted us to adopt but I had to rely on Him to change her heart. Over this last year, He did and we have just had our I-600A approved and have sent our dossier over to the country we're adopting from. Just pray that God's will be done. If it is His will for you to adopt, then He will change your husband's heart.

Hi, I need prayers to help bring awareness to my Indiegogo campaign; "Let's Cut to the Chase", so that I may raise funds to support my grandchildren. My grandchildren were illegally adopted in August 2010 and taken to Nigeria in May 2011. In March 2012 the adoption was set aside, but the perpetrator is trying to have it overturned. I cannot for the life of me understand how this has happened. There are so many steps a deserving citizen must go through and this man, a convicted felon, is able to adopt within two years from being released from prison. Please pray that I can raise the funds to support my grandchildren and to work to find how the system failed.
How has God led your husband and your family to act concerning the adoption? I'd love to continue praying for you if you are still waiting on God.
I volunteer for Adopt From Africa an organization that does Adoptions From Africa without charging any adoption fees at all. If money is an issue for your family and if God were to lead you to adopt from Africa, it may be forth checking to see if they can help you. They are very Christ centered and recently started waiving all adoption fees to help Christians adopt. You can read why they waive adoption fees here.
