Hello all,
Not sure if the right forum; we are foster, but this is a religious question...
Pastor met our FK's this a.m. and said something to the effect of how nice it was that we are helping this family (of FK's) and how wonderful, and that he'd like to talk to me more about it.
I didn't want to be rude. I appreciate his love and concern and desire to know more. It would be great if even more people of faith stood up and fostered or adopted. They say if even one family from each Christian church in the US could foster that it would make a HUGE impact. Imagine! :happydance:
But, I didn't want to make my FK's feel funny. I just smiled and nodded and made a mental note to talk to him when the FK's weren't around.
It is true, we are helping these two FK's, and the FK's know that, but they're at an age where they really just want to blend in right now.
Ideas on an appropriate way to respond to someone who is asking for all the right reasons/concerns but is still asking in front of the kidlets?
