Quick (maybe not so quick) question. We found out in 2011 that our children's birth mom was expecting again. She has had multiple terminations. We told the state we were willing to foster (we've done this for a few years) knowing full well, that the plan would be reunification. The social worker went on maternity leave and baby was placed in another home. We have had visits since January this year and now, we are looking at Permanency hearing coming up shortly... Im curious how you all feel... I really would love to keep the siblings together. The attachment that has formed between all of them is almost palpable, but the other FF is fighting us on it. We are considered a "family" placement because we have adopted 3 of the siblings... I need help, advice... something.

I am a strong believer in siblings being together. If the other family is attached to the baby, that's AWESOME, they have done a great job. That's what we're supposed to do. If you have been visiting with the sib, making your interest known all along, you're doing the right thing. I'd go up the chain of command and be sure everyone knows you have been trynig to have the infant placed with you. Best wishes!!
