Where to advertise to make an independent match

Hello, My husband and I are thinking about going the route of independent adoption, and I'm wondering where we should advertise. I live in the northeast and, from what I gather, there are very few newborn babies for adoption in this area. As a result, I feel like advertising around here would be a waste of time. I don't know enough about the statistics of domestic adoptions, but are there areas of the country where newborn babies for adoption are a lot more common? If so, can someone suggest which areas that I should focus on for advertising? If you'd rather PM me, feel free, but I'd love to hear from anyone with ideas about specific areas, specific newspapers, or whatever.
